Kunnosa.. Hyvää! Ja.. Goedenacht Ok.. Good night!

Struggling with Finnish words and phrases as I learn to understand the structure and contents of the language today, I struggle with another diversion!

Here comes my visiting sorority sisters from university, one of them being fluent in Dutch since she resides in Amsterdam.

She introduces several phrases as we are in conversation.  I keep away from her with the notion of  my inability to deal with two unfamiliar languages at the same time.

I remember the first Finnish words I learned from ST and they are " Hyvää yotä (good night) & kunnosa (OK)".  My Dutch speaking sorority sister says "Ja.. Goedenacht. mar wat doe je klagen over?"  OK, Good Night, but, what are you complaining about?

Mut mitä valitat? Finnish phrase seems easier to remember.  But, what are you complaining about?

Now, I am getting confused! Easy enough now to revert back to English.  I think, I better stick to English and converse in Filipino!  This is hard work indeed!
