Hyvää Isaänpävää (Finnish) Happy Father's Day!

Hyvää Isaänpävää (Finnish) Happy Father's Day!

Seems easy enough, but while looking for the words in Finnish to greet friends in celebration, I found that the word "Hyvää" did not just mean goodnight. Hyvää means good or happy!  I looked at my notes again and in hindsight, must have forgotten to post yötä to describe night in Hyvää yotä !

I struggle at the construction of the sentence, but then again, I learn more things that are so unique in this language of Suomen Kieli [Soumi]; Finnish.

I will need to re-think my position to continue learning this language as I cook pyttipannu (diced friend potatoes, onions and sausage), riisipurro (rice pudding).  I wonder if cooking Finnish foods will help me in my decision to learn.

To all the fathers, who are reading this post:
Hyvää Isaänpävää (Finnish) Happy Father's Day! Enjoy and for the remaining 364 days, it is celebrating Happy Mother's Day!
